Taqueria San Jose was founded because a need for a new style of Mexican restaurant in Modesto was needed. It would be a family Mexican eatery with a very festive atmosphere.

Along with an attractive environment, the food would be the freshest and best tasting every time. This service would also have to fit a family's budget. Most importantly the overall focus would be consistent performance, not gimmicky.

In less than 5 years Taqueria San Jose became known as the "best Mexican resatuant" in Modesto. Soon second location was opened in Modesto. Jaun and David decided to open a third location in Riverbank. Now all three San Jose Taqueria's are know for the best Mexican food around.
