The Pauli Stubm in its current form was established in the 1930s. At that time, however, it was called "Gasthaus Edelweiß".

Cozy Salzburg hospitality has been maintained at this location ever since. The Herrengasse, a hidden alley with a notorious reputation.

The city's executioners used to run several brothels here, the oldest of which (next door; since 1501) still exists today.

Since March 2018, the tenant Christian Georgi and his team say "Griaß Eich in der Pauli Stubm"
